The puppies had been with us for almost a month by Christmas. All the little ones have their own owners and the last week we spent visiting and socializing with them. A lot of new faces, new toys and treats. They all had their mandatory manicure and deworming and of course taking photos under the tree, that had to be done.
MAJA – Opulent Sunshine LASTER GOLD – She made her debut at this show for the first time in the adult class – and in the working class. She did not lose in the competition against 4 other bitches and despite her young age, she came out on top. Excellent 1 & CAC, Referee: Guenther Ehrenreich, AT. With this title, he becomes the candidate for the Champion of Beauty of the SR
The „E“ horn in the mini litter is in the world!!! Three chubby puppies were born on Monday evening. One male and two female. As I wrote, even though I expect beautiful and healthy puppies, that happened anyway. Since there are only three and Mia has plenty of milk, they are growing and gaining weight every day and we are very excited about them.
HOYA – AMAZING HOYA SnowWhite Beauty – on Sunday 12.11.2023 we completed this year’s trial season together. The final trials – the Comprehensive Tests for HOYA retrievers – she completed in 1st place. Since these are her second comprehensive tests and Hoyka already has the working title „U“ and is also registered in the book of comprehensively usable dogs, we participated because we missed the suspense and she once again demonstrated an excellent performance, for which I am rightfully proud of her. From the judges she received praise for the best halter for the golden dogs and the title slipped away from her by the slenderest of margins. Trials are like that and you have to go with a smile even when it freezes, because this female really lacks one title to achieve the title of Champion of the Slovak Republic, which she definitely deserves.
On Friday 3.11.2023, we participated with HOYOU – Amazing Hoya SnowWhite Beuty and MAJU – Opulent Sunshine Laster Gold in the last autumn trials of this year organized by PZ Havran 1. For Hoyu I took it as a good training before the All-round Retriever Trials and for Maju as a rehearsal, since she failed her first autumn trials. As a young dog, she couldn’t handle the onslaught of dogs and people around her, so this time in Radošina she performed an excellent performance, going all the trials on her own fours, only in the last discipline she got 3 out of 4 shots of duck from the water. I’m looking forward to next year’s trial season with her, she has a perfect nose and was a joy to watch.
HOYA – Amazing Hoya SnowWhite Beauty – 200b (full set) / 1st prize / Winner of the tests
MAJA – Opulent Sunshine Laster Gold – 195b / 1st prize
With great pleasure, I present the last third generation in our CHS after our first female, Mii – BITTERSWEET SYMPHONY Canis Regnum, who is the founder of our CHS. She is and will always be the first, unique, benevolent, just as all her litters are. Most of the puppies have inherited her amazing nature and that is why we decided to try and finally we can look forward to a little, but still interesting litter. And interesting from a pedigree perspective. I hope this combination will bring beautiful, healthy and temperamentally balanced puppies. The planned arrival is around November 25, 2023.
Maja – Opulent Sunshine LASTER GOLD – completely hairless, but since we had already registered for this show in advance, we took the risk with the prospect of completing Junior Interchampion. After opening the catalog we said that it was probably a pointless trip. The competition is huge. We entered both days with a small puppy and she was lucky to smile on the second day. Maja performed beautifully in her movements and that succeeded.
30.09.2023 – junior class – excellent 2, judge: Hannele Jokisilta (FI)
01.10.2023 – junior class – Excellent 1, JCAC, J-CACIB, judge: Peter Fridrich Berchtold (A)
In this way, Maja fulfilled the last condition for the award of the Junior Interchampion title J – C.I.B.
We photographed the puppies in the poses exactly at 6.5 weeks. It was fun, but we did it amidst the raindrops. Some of them looked better, others didn’t want to pose. Pribináčik helped us a lot. This photoshoot is a real treat for us, it’s the best!!!
The puppies are doing well, growing very quickly; they spend most of the day playing in the garden and exploring new corners of the garden. The puppies already have their own owners and over the past week we have spent a lot of time visiting and socializing with them. A lot of new faces, new toys and treats. All of them have had their mandatory haircuts and deworming treatments.
Maja - Opulent Sunshine Laster Gold started this season with these hunting tests and I am pleased with her results. We finished the tests in 1st place / 102 points. Beautiful hunting grounds PZ Havran, Radošina and organizer of the Club of Breeders of Slovak Rough-Haired Stavači – hats off for the level of the tests and the chosen grounds and thank you for the opportunity to participate.
Puppies grow very, very fast, at my pace. They are dewormed for the first time, their claws are trimmed, and we have started with their first food, although Gro’s diet still consists of Apple’s milk bar. I named this litter “DELIGHTFUL“ and I think it’s deserved. All the puppies already have their new owners and we will soon meet them for the first visits.
The puppies are almost two weeks old, slowly approaching the 1.5kg mark, as Apple has plenty of milk for all of them to gain weight evenly and are very well-balanced in weight. Apple is taking good care of the puppies, so the other residents of the house can’t even get close to the nest. We’ll see how long it lasts, as more and more often the mother leaves the nest after she has fed the puppies and watches from the window. And we can already see it in the distance.
On Sunday the 18th, Majá and I – Opulent Sunshine LASTER GOLD – went to Zakopané, which is really very close to the international exhibition for us. It is organized every year in the beautiful surroundings of the biathlon arena in Koščelisko and I personally really like this exhibition and whenever possible, we always try to attend it.
Maja competed against 7 other female dogs in the junior class and won the last necessary title in her 12 months, so
Maja – the young class – exc.1 CWC, jCACIB, judge: Mrs. Hanna Wozna, PL and thus fulfilled the last condition for awarding the title
Junior CHAMPION OF BEAUTY OF POLAND
And also, on June 1st, Maja underwent an X-ray of her hip and elbow joints and shoulders. The images showed that they are completely healthy – without any findings – and she received the best possible evaluation, which I am very excited about:
HD (DBK): A/A, ED (DLK): 0/0, shoulder OCD: negative
the results of genetic tests showed no abnormalities:
GR PRA1 clear, GR PRA2 clear, PRA/PRCD – negative, ICTa – clear
On Friday, July 9th, Apple – Gravity of love LASTER GOLD – after a long night and day, gave birth to 6 beautiful and healthy babies – 2 female and 4 male puppies. This is her first litter, which was very long and difficult, but Apple managed it brilliantly and now she is already doing well and is taking care of the newborn puppies with typical dedication. The puppies are gaining weight beautifully, their fur has different shades from cream to light gold and bright gold.
At the end of May we once again headed to Poland for 2 exhibitions in the city of Rzeszów near the Ukrainian border. We traveled in a gold duo and of course I was with them. Both exhibitions were perfectly organized and took place in the beautiful surroundings of the village of Lesna Wola. Here are the results:

At the end of April and the beginning of May, Majá – Opulent Sunshine LASTER GOLD and Hoyka – Amazing Hoya SnowWhite Beauty participated in two exhibitions abroad. Our goal was to place at least one day in first place and start the young champion in that country, and Hoyka to complete the Polish champion. On Sunday 26.03.2023, together with Maia – Opullent Sunshine LASTER GOLD and Apple – Gravity of love LASTER GOLD, we set off for Hungary to the small border town of Salgótarján for the annual show. For Apple it was the last show for a long time and for Maia the first show in the junior class. And neither of them got lost. Maia once again did well in the class of young bitches, with a large number of entries, and as the youngest she only reached the shortlist at 9 months old and went on to become Excellent 4. Apple performed in the class of champions and reached Excellent 1&CAC and subsequently the title BOS. A little closer to the title of Hungarian beauty champion.
Maja – Opullent Sunshine LASTER GOLD – excellent 4 (V4), judge : Orsolya Vig
Apple – Gravity of love LASTER GOLD – Excellent 1 (V1)&CAC, BOS, judge: Orsolya Vig
At the three-day international exhibition in Nitra, our youngest Maja – Opulent Sunshine LASTER GOLD – made her debut. It was her very first show and we went first to socialize and see how she would behave in her new environment in the family. According to the statistics, I didn’t have high hopes for a placement, but Maja performed beautifully, she had no problem with the judges, with the other dogs, or with the open spaces in the hall. In the younger adult class in competition with 10pups from the Czech Republic, the Czech Republic, Poland, Rakás and Holanska, she secured top places and I am proud that she did so and with such results.

Apple – Gravity of love LASTER GOLD entered the open class in a strong competition of 10 bitches from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine. And it succeeded. Apple earned the last necessary CAC to win the title of beauty champion.
Apple – Gravity of love LASTER GOLD – class open, 1/10, excellent 1 CWC, judge : Renata Cepkova (CZ) and
New POLISH CHAMPION
We all waited for this winter for a long time until at least a little bit of snow fell and got frozen, because everyone knows who has a four-legged companion at home: without snow, there is endless washing of paws after every walk. And our prayers were heard at the end of January. However, the weather in our Low Tatras said that it wouldn’t just be a little bit of snow, but that it would actually snow a lot. And suddenly we had nowhere to go for a walk, because…… because there was 70cm of snow everywhere. However, we enjoyed it, I didn’t really, but my four-legged companions did and on this walk through the valley in Závažná Poruba, these beautiful photos were taken again, and that’s why we really just went for a walk with the intention of not taking photos in this weather at all. As always, I thank my friend and doggy Simone Zaťková – Simona Zaťko Photo for these beautiful photos. Hats off to Simone.
